Anyone who knows Colfax knows that the tattoo shops are one of the cornerstones of the community and some of the longest-standing fixtures of the street. In 2019, artists from Colfax Ave’s district shops (Bound by Design, End of Days Tattoo, Lifetime Tattoo) donated their designs to our street banners. Now, it’s our turn to give back to them.

Proceeds from every print purchased will go directly to the artist or shop. Tattoo shops have been hit particularly hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Add some new art to your space and support our local artists at the same time.

Description: My inspiration behind my piece is an accurate representation of what the majority of my art and tattoos are inspired by, the atomic age. I love anything vibrant in color that pays homage to the retro pop art of the ’50s and ’60s, as well as the mid-century modern aesthetic, adding a little twist of my own to it of course. Hopefully, my robot sparks a smile when people look at it! I’ve worked at Bound By Design for over a decade and have also worked for multiple businesses that are located on Colfax, so when I was asked if I’d like to design a banner that would be displayed on the iconic street, my answer was an easy ‘heck yes!’. I believe Colfax is one of the most lively and interesting streets in America and anyone that has spent time on it has a unique love for it. There is never a dull moment and it has and will always have a special place in my heart, so I’m very excited to be included in this awesome project alongside so many talented friends and artists!
